Intern - Plastics Process Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch's Power Solutions Division as a Plastics Process Engineer Intern. You will support the development and optimization of injection molding processes while gaining hands‑on experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Process Engineers with injection molding process development and optimization.
• Support creation and maintenance of process documentation such as setup sheets, work instructions, and parameter records.
• Participate in molding trials, tool qualifications, and process validation under supervision.
• Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data (scrap, cycle time, downtime, utilization, OEE).
• Help investigate root causes of quality issues using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects focused on safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Support shop‑floor observations, audits, 5S activities, and visual‑management improvements.
• Assist engineering projects involving automation, robotics, tooling, and equipment.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing data, findings, and recommendations.
• Complete a defined internship project and present results to plant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant coursework or laboratory experience is preferred.
• Previous internship, co‑op, or hands‑on project experience is beneficial but not required.
• U.S. work authorization without need for future sponsorship.
