Controls Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Controls Technician works the 3rd shift on Bosch's production floor, providing technical support for PLC systems, automation equipment, and robotics. You will help keep production lines running smoothly and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for PLC topics in production and troubleshoot downtime issues.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform complex repairs and adjustments.
• Develop process and cycle‑time improvements to boost performance.
• Support implementation and troubleshooting of new automation devices, vision systems, and robotics.
• Perform electrical installation and PLC programming for projects both offline and in‑production.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering groups to resolve process‑control problems.
• Deliver internal PLC training and mentor less‑experienced technicians.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and Bosch Production System standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming, robotics (preferably Nachi and Fanuc), electrical control, motor principles, and electropneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills and a focus on safety and quality.
