Intern - Data Analysis and Design

About the role

The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) is seeking a motivated intern to support the Global Security Information Center (GSIC) in New York. This six‑month, unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience in data‑driven analysis within a global security context, contributing to decision‑making during crises and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and communicate data‑driven analyses and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Assist in developing new methodologies and solutions for evolving security challenges.
• Support the GSIC’s information management and crisis‑response functions.
• Collaborate with staff members to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
