Insurance Follow‑Up Representative

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as an Insurance Follow‑Up Representative, supporting the revenue cycle by resolving underpayments and denials. You will work closely with department leadership and insurance carriers to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with contract terms.

Key responsibilities

• Review and manage open Accounts Receivable, documenting follow‑up activities to resolve underpayments and denials.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of denials, recommend corrective actions, and escalate trends to management.
• Prepare reports for meetings with provider representatives and senior leadership.
• Calculate and submit adjustment and refund requests with proper coding and documentation.
• Identify patient out‑of‑pocket expenses and allocate responsibility within timely filing limits.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of billing or collections experience with major third‑party payers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Successful completion of DOE and Revenue Cycle Education Training within 3 months of hire.
