Installation Coordinator

About the role

The HDIS Installation Coordinator acts as an internal and external customer support expert who helps build, manage and facilitate an excellent customer experience. The coordinator supports customers and the Install Field teams, directs the flow of jobs according to business needs, monitors job statuses for all interior and exterior product lines, schedules pre-installation inspections, completes job movement tasks and manages the services process in the branch. The position reports to the District Installation Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Customer experience (35%): keep regular contact with customers across the install life cycle, follow up on time, resolve open questions and support job-related issues from point of sale through follow-up service.
• Job process support (25%): coordinate with internal and external partners such as the Branch Support Center, Sales and Installation, help with customer escalations and exceptions, and support efficient job movement.
• Operations (40%): manage intake of open jobs, review paperwork for accuracy, collect payment with customers, schedule pre-installation inspections, enter data, place material orders for interior products, process labor bills for third-party service providers, and schedule services.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; no additional education required.
• Preferred: knowledge or experience in the home improvement or construction industry, and a clerical or administrative background.
• Preferred: excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a strong sense of urgency, problem-solving skills, computer skills with Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Travel is typically under 10% overnight, and the work is mostly done sitting indoors. For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY) and Washington residents, the pay range is $22.00 - $24.00.
