About the role

Provide inpatient oncology nursing care on Jeff Highway, delivering compassionate, patient‑centered services as part of Ochsner’s multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve quality outcomes.
Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams on treatment plans and procedures.
Participate in unit and department strategic initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
No prior experience required.

Required skills

Computer data‑entry and retrieval skills.
Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and related software.
