Infectious Disease Physician – Full-Time Opportunity

About the role

Western Infectious Disease Consultants, PC (WIDC) is seeking a full‑time Infectious Disease Physician to join its physician‑owned practice serving the Denver metropolitan area. The role provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care while supporting the regional infusion centers in Lakewood and Broomfield.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver infectious disease evaluation, treatment, and follow‑up for patients across both Lakewood and Broomfield regions.
• Coordinate care plans that involve WIDC infusion services, collaborating with nursing and pharmacy teams.
• Provide physician‑level consultation and timely escalation for complex cases.
• Maintain consistent clinical workflows, documentation standards, and patient safety expectations.
• Participate in hospital rounding schedules and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and outbreak management programs.

Required profile

• Motivated and entrepreneurial physician with a strong interest in infectious disease practice.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
