Industrial Security Specialist

About the role

CACI is looking for an Industrial Security Specialist to join its security team in the Annapolis Junction, MD office. The role supports collateral-level security programs and sensitive compartmented information programs for a CACI company, reporting to the security lead. It is a regular, full-time position requiring a Top Secret clearance to start, with up to 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Administer routine aspects of DOD, intelligence and other industrial security programs in line with government and company policies, following NISPOM, ICD and other regulations
• Support collateral-level and sensitive compartmented information programs
• Complete SF-86/agency nomination packages, DD-254 packages, fingerprinting, prepare visit authorization letters (VALs), use DISS and coordinate with customer security representatives on clearance requirements
• Protect classified information and monitor compliance with personnel, physical and administrative security
• Conduct security briefings and security education programs
• Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, typically with at least 3 years of related work experience
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Previous industrial security experience and in-depth knowledge of NISPOM
• Experience in personnel security, document and visitor control
• Experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, intelligence or contractor security management community
• Effective written and oral communication, teamwork, self-starter and ability to manage ambiguity and multi-task

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of DISS, e-QIP, SIMS (or equivalent) and NISS/ISFD
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Desired: completed CDSE courses on JPAS/JCAVS, personnel security, ISFD, FSO role in NISP, introduction to industrial security and essentials of industrial security management
