Inbound Phone Banker / Customer Service Representative

About the role

Join VXI's fast‑paced contact center in Charlotte, NC as an Inbound Phone Banker. You will be the first point of contact for customers needing assistance with bank accounts and card services, delivering professional and empathetic support.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls regarding deposit accounts, debit/credit cards, balances, transactions, billing inquiries, payments, disputes and general account maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues such as declined transactions, lost or stolen cards, and account access problems while ensuring first‑call resolution whenever possible.
• Authenticate customers, protect confidential financial information and comply with banking regulations and PCI requirements.
• Document interactions accurately and navigate multiple computer applications efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of continuous customer service experience with one employer; 6 months of contact‑center experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication, empathy, active listening and problem‑solving abilities.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency with ability to navigate multiple systems and use dual monitors.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM with 85 % accuracy.
