Ice Loop Lead – Seasonal (Nov‑Feb)

About the role

This is a 4‑month seasonal position with Marion Parks & Recreation, running from early November through February. The Ice Loop Lead supervises the ice rink, its staff, and oversees admissions, skate rentals, and concessions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Ice Loop staff, schedule shifts, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Process admission fees, skate rentals, and concession sales, ensuring accurate cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the rink, concession area, and surrounding grounds.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment, manage inventory, and prepare ordering reports.
• Provide first‑aid or emergency response as needed and enforce facility rules.

Required profile

• Minimum age 16, valid driver’s license with insurance.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors in winter conditions.
• Strong customer service orientation and reliable attendance.
• Physical ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic math and cash‑handling proficiency.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems and concession equipment.
• Leadership and staff supervision capabilities.
