Ice Loop Attendant (2026‑2027 Season)

About the role

This is a 4‑month, part‑time seasonal position with Marion Parks & Recreation, running from early November through February. The role involves managing the Ice Loop facility, handling admissions, skate rentals, and concession sales while ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process admission fees, skate rentals, and concession transactions accurately using the cash register and point‑of‑sale system.
• Maintain a clean, organized concession stand and skate shack, restock supplies, and monitor equipment such as refrigerators and popcorn poppers.
• Enforce Ice Loop rules, supervise guests, and respond to first‑aid or emergency situations as needed.
• Perform basic outdoor maintenance, including snow clearing, trash removal, and fire‑pit safety checks.

Required profile

• Minimum age 16, able to work evenings, weekends, and weeknights during the season.
• Comfortable working outdoors in winter weather and performing physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
• Honest, reliable, and able to provide courteous customer service to guests of all ages.

Required skills

• Basic mathematical ability for handling cash and calculating fees.
• Proficiency with a point‑of‑sale system and cash register operation.
• Standard First Aid and CPR knowledge (desirable).
