HVAC Service Technician – Commercial Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems for our clients in Greenville, SC. The role involves traveling to various sites, diagnosing issues, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders and coordinate daily with dispatch.
• Travel to client sites to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on RTUs, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
• Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and repair or replace components.
• Service large‑scale systems (DX up to 25 tons, water‑cooled units, heat pumps).
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing belts, and system start‑ups.
• Communicate system status and recommendations to clients.
• Accurately document work, parts, and performance in the CMMS.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (Trade School preferred).
• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work independently and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Commitment to safety and professional standards.

Required skills

• EPA Universal Certification
• Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and electronic controls
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with CMMS for documentation
