Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager partners with business leaders to deliver comprehensive HR support across the organization, driving effective operations, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR business partner, advising managers on policies, workforce needs, and people‑related decisions.
• Manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and ensure consistent documentation.
• Oversee union and labor relations, interpret collective bargaining agreements, and support grievance processes.
• Lead day‑to‑day HR operations, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, leave administration, and exits.
• Administer leave and attendance programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA and other regulations.
• Support performance management cycles, coaching managers on feedback and improvement plans.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and support audit activities.
• Collaborate with HRIS and Payroll teams to resolve data and system issues.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or business‑partner capacity.
• Strong background in employee relations, union labor relations, and performance management.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment regulations, and leave administration (FMLA/LOA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work in a fast‑paced environment.
