Senior HR Manager

About the role

The Senior HR Manager will serve as a trusted HR advisor and business partner, supporting managers and employees across NationsBenefits. Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this role drives HR operations, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and people‑related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to understand business priorities, workforce challenges, and provide practical HR guidance.
• Manage employee relations matters from initial concern through resolution, including investigations and documentation.
• Serve as primary HR contact for union employees, administer collective bargaining agreements, and support grievance processes.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, leaves, and exits.
• Lead leave and attendance management, ensuring compliance with FMLA, LOA, and related policies.
• Support performance management cycles, coach managers on feedback and improvement plans.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, culture programs, and wellness activities.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and support audits.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast‑growing, multi‑location organization.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, union relations, and HR compliance.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence people‑related decisions.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems to resolve data and timekeeping issues.
• Ability to develop and maintain HR SOPs, workflows, and process documentation.
