Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join an oil and gas company in central Houston. The position operates on a hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The successful candidate will support talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, HR data management, and compensation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle talent acquisition: write job descriptions, source and screen candidates, conduct phone interviews, schedule interviews, coordinate with agencies, and extend offers.
• Provide onboarding support, including system setup, documentation, file creation, and first‑day coordination.
• Administer the annual Employee Engagement Survey, analyze results, and present recommendations to leadership.
• Maintain HR Information Systems, ensure data accuracy, and generate HR dashboards and reports.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, support decision‑making, and contribute to compensation reviews.
• Support internship and mentoring programs, communicate new policies, and address employee inquiries.
• Assist with internal and external HR audits, timekeeping administration, and act as liaison for payroll/benefits with a sister company.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of solid HR experience, preferably in the energy sector.
• High level of trust, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all management levels.
• Collaborative team player with strong prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Proactive deadline management and problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• PowerBI, Power Automate, Copilot (preferred).
• Dayforce (preferred).
