Human Resources Director – Strategic Business Partner

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Human Resources Director to act as a strategic partner for business and functional leaders. In this senior role you will translate corporate priorities into people strategies that drive growth, strengthen performance, and support the company’s mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to design and implement talent strategies aligned with business goals.
• Leverage HR analytics and market trends to shape data‑driven talent decisions.
• Provide executive coaching and advisory on succession, engagement, performance and employee relations.
• Lead organizational design, culture initiatives and change‑management programs.
• Collaborate across global HR teams to deliver consistent, high‑impact solutions.
• Drive HR initiatives from concept through execution while identifying opportunities for simplification and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR or equivalent) is desirable.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience in a global organization, with extensive business‑partnering exposure.
• Proven track record advising senior leadership and leading large‑scale change.
