Housekeeper – Hospital Facility (Columbus, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join the team at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus. Under general supervision, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, and support spaces.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure proper stocking.
• Follow established infection‑control and safety procedures.
• Assist with waste disposal and linen handling as needed.
• Support any shift schedule to ensure continuous facility upkeep.

Required profile

• At least one (1) year of experience in a related housekeeping or custodial role, or equivalent experience at the lower‑level Housekeeper 1 position.
• Ability to pass required drug screening, TB evaluation, annual influenza vaccination, and background checks.
• Willingness to work any shift in a hospital environment.
