Hospitalist Per Diem APRN-PA (Nocturnist)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a per diem hospitalist APRN/PA to work nights (nocturnist). The APRN/PA works alongside physicians and other patient care team members in an active practice, delivering direct patient care and performing procedures and prescribing medications under protocol.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and participate in the active practice
• Perform procedures and prescribe medications under protocol
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Participate in the marketing, evaluation and growth of the hospital
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant degree
• Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers and ACLS certification
• Experience in the operating room as first assistant
• High-quality case management abilities and clinical competency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Threshold requirements include annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, and maintenance of required professional licenses and certifications.
