High-Rise Area Maintenance Manager

About the role

The High‑Rise Area Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical and mechanical operations across three or more residential communities totaling over 500 units in Jersey City. This full‑time position ensures that interiors, exteriors, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality while adhering to budgetary and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete all work orders for high‑rise properties, ensuring timely and quality execution.
• Develop scopes of work, monitor budgets and track financial performance of maintenance activities.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and oversee third‑party service delivery.
• Conduct regular inspections to assess maintenance needs, prioritize improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor a maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and proactive problem solving.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑rise assets and maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical and technical operations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑property environment.
