Graduate Nurse

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Graduate Nurse, providing patient‑centered care while completing your NCLEX‑RN preparation. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in a fast‑paced acute‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients of all ages, following medical plans and protocols.
• Perform admission assessments, administer medications, blood products, and support complex treatment procedures.
• Participate in hourly rounds, respond to call lights, and assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Document patient observations, report changes in condition, and adhere to hospital policies and quality standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with less than one year of acute‑care experience from clinicals.
• Registered to take the NCLEX‑RN exam within one year of employment and able to provide proof of eligibility.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to manage multiple patients, and knowledge of patient rights and HIPAA.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) and ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Eligibility to sit for the NCLEX‑RN exam.
