Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator

About the role

The Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator supports the day‑to‑day operations of residency and fellowship programs at Lehigh Valley Health Network. This role ensures smooth scheduling, recruitment, accreditation compliance, and trainee support across multiple hospital sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate block scheduling, recruitment, interview, match, and orientation processes for GME programs.
• Track and report compliance with duty‑hour rules, evaluations, licensing, moonlighting, contracts, and re‑credentialing.
• Maintain the GME personnel database, including current and alumni house staff information.
• Manage marketing activities such as website content, social media, newsletters, and recruitment materials.
• Produce and update annual rotation schedules and handle monthly changes.
• Participate in remediation for non‑compliance and assess trainee ability to continue training.
• Monitor program finances and budgets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or educational setting, or an Associate’s Degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of program management methodologies and accreditation guidelines.
• Strong writing and editing abilities.
• Ability to collect and analyze complex data.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective use of internet research tools.
