Government Financial Specialist, Controllership Manager

About the role

The Deloitte Finance Transformation team is seeking a Controllership Manager to advise government clients on financial operations, reporting, and compliance, while leading transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on financial operations and reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-136 and A-123.
• Manage and coach teams, set priorities, and review deliverables against contracts.
• Coordinate audit readiness activities and internal control matters.
• Provide financial oversight to address compliance, reporting, and operational requirements.
• Lead workstreams supporting finance transformation, process improvement, and controllership modernization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• 9+ years of government accounting experience, including 2+ years supporting Intelligence Community clients.
• Ability to work onsite in McLean, Virginia, five days per week.

What we offer

• Salary range $124,700 – $207,800 per year.
• Eligibility for discretionary annual incentive program.
