Global Mobility Immigration Manager

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Global Mobility Immigration Manager to lead its U.S. immigration program in Herndon, VA. The role focuses on managing external immigration providers, ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws, and delivering a premium experience for employees and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all U.S. immigration operations, including case initiations, renewals, PERM processes, and coordination with employees and internal stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain the immigration vendor’s case management database, ensuring accurate records and timely case processing.
• Provide strategic guidance to business leaders on visa sponsorship implications, costs, timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, service level agreements, invoicing, and conduct regular audits and business reviews.
• Develop and deliver immigration training materials and conduct training sessions for HR business partners and recruiters.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and continuous‑process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 6 years of U.S. immigration experience, preferably managing a large corporate immigration program.
• Strong project‑management skills; experience with Lean or similar methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining high compliance standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % domestically and internationally.
• Physical ability to work onsite 80 % of the time and remotely 20 %.
