German Donor Engagement Consultant

About the role

Prosper Global's Institutional Donor Engagement Team (IDE) is exploring humanitarian partnerships with the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). The consultancy supports IDE in defining Prosper Global's value proposition for GFFO and its engagement strategy to become a German humanitarian partner. It reports to Barbara Scola, Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager, IDE, and works closely with Technical Support, Evidence and Program Quality and Emergency Response teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the German NGO landscape and GFFO's current humanitarian partnerships and identify opportunities for a unique positioning
• Inform Prosper Global's positioning and contribute to documentation claiming additionality
• Advise on further engagement with GFFO to prepare for partnership negotiations and quality review
• Analyse partnership opportunities in humanitarian response and stabilization with other German institutions
• Carry out desk research (qualitative and quantitative analysis of German humanitarian partnerships)
• Consult internal and external stakeholders and present practical recommendations

Deliverables

• A short report on the German NGO landscape and GFFO's humanitarian partnerships
• Comments on Prosper Global's humanitarian value proposition
• Summary notes of interviews and advisory calls

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in humanitarian aid or development cooperation
• Demonstrated experience working with GFFO and other German institutional funders
• Solid understanding of the German NGO landscape
• Prior experience or knowledge of Prosper Global is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of German humanitarian aid, including current trends and challenges
• Ability to drive qualitative research and present findings clearly

The consultancy is expected to run from November 2026 to no later than December 2026, for a maximum of 5 days.
