About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 12‑week internship in Merck's Research Labs Division, focusing on oral solid dosage formulation, drug delivery, and manufacturing process science.

Key responsibilities

Develop and apply scientific concepts to advance new solid oral drug products in a laboratory or pilot‑plant environment.
Execute routine experiments, interpret data, and support manufacturing operations in pilot‑plant settings.
Operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes, learning practical laboratory and pilot‑plant skills.

Required profile

Actively pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field (expected graduation no later than June 2028).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in team environments.

Required skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience with statistical software such as JMP or Minitab.
Experience with numerical analysis software such as Matlab.
