Future Talent Program – Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences Summer Co‑Op

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 4‑6 month co‑op in the Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences Department, where you will work on formulation development and manufacturing projects for oral, sterile, and specialty drug products. You will collaborate with experienced scientists and gain exposure to the full drug development process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research projects such as polymer/API composite engineering, biologics formulation, or lipid‑based delivery system design.
• Participate in departmental and project team meetings, providing input on formulation challenges.
• Present research findings in both oral and written formats to multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore‑senior) or graduate student in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Strong academic performance (GPA ≥ 3.0) and interest in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical supplies.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a multi‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory techniques and safe lab practices.
• Experience with electronic notebook recording.
• Proficiency in HPLC, spectroscopy, and other analytical techniques.
