Future Talent Program – Discovery Neuroscience Co‑op

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 6‑month co‑op in the Discovery Neuroscience team, supporting mass‑spectrometry‑based proteomics projects that contribute to CNS drug discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare biological samples for discovery and targeted proteomics studies.
• Execute, analyze, and troubleshoot LC‑MS‑based DIA workflows.
• Quality‑check proteomics data using Skyline, EncyclopeDIA, Spectronaut or comparable tools.
• Help optimize and automate sample‑preparation workflows on AssayMAP or KingFisher platforms.
• Organize, interpret, graph, and communicate results to team members and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a BS/BA/PhD program in a relevant scientific discipline.
• At least two years completed toward the degree by the start date.
• Available full‑time for six months beginning early to mid‑2027.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience with pipetting, solution preparation, and sample tracking.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of proteins, peptides, enzymatic digestion, chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
• Familiarity with data‑independent acquisition (DIA) proteomics.
• Experience analyzing data in Skyline, EncyclopeDIA, Spectronaut or similar software.
• Exposure to automated platforms such as AssayMAP or KingFisher.
• Basic programming or scripting experience (Python or R) is a plus.
