Future Talent Program – Discovery Chemistry & Process Research Intern

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 10‑12 week summer internship in Discovery Chemistry and Process Research, where interns work on real projects in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories across several US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform organic synthesis, reaction development, and route optimization for potential drug candidates.
• Engage in high‑throughput experimentation, bio‑ and chemocatalysis screening, and laboratory automation.
• Maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebooks and follow safe lab practices.
• Present research findings in oral and written formats to multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in Chemistry (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.).
• Completed at least two years of undergraduate study by June 2027.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Available full‑time for 10‑12 weeks between May and August 2027.

Required skills

• Strong interest in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical R&D.
• Basic laboratory techniques and experience with electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation.
• Familiarity with high‑throughput experimentation, flow chemistry, and data‑rich reaction optimization.
