About the role
The Future Talent Program offers a summer internship in the Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) department of Merck. Interns will work on preclinical or clinical biostatistics projects alongside experienced pharmaceutical statisticians.
Key responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis of data from drug research, clinical pharmacology, biomarker development, pharmacogenomics, AI/ML, or health technology assessment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support drug and vaccine development and methodological research.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Statistics or Biostatistics with at least two graduate semesters completed by May 2027.
- Available full‑time for a 12‑week internship starting May or June 2027.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of SAS.
- Working knowledge of S‑Plus.
- Working knowledge of R.
