About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a full‑time English Instructor for its A&S program. This 12‑month contract position involves preparing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and supporting student success in technical and occupational courses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives for credited English courses.
• Prepare and deliver classroom, lab, or field instruction using current technology.
• Evaluate student progress, grade coursework, and maintain documentation.
• Maintain program certification/accreditation requirements.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Participate in professional development, workshops, and conferences.

Required profile

• Under general supervision, able to create lesson plans and manage classroom activities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Willingness to teach face‑to‑face, hybrid, or distance‑learning classes.
• Commitment to safety, security, and compliance with academic standards.
