About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Science Center‑Shreveport are seeking a full‑time academic Family Medicine physician. The position is an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine and offers opportunities in clinical care, education, and research within a vibrant department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide community‑based primary care, with options for outpatient‑only or combined outpatient/inpatient practice.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in both clinical and pre‑clinical settings.
• Participate in research and scholarship activities, contributing to the department’s academic mission.
• Engage in population‑health initiatives and digital medicine programs supporting chronic‑condition management.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Eligibility for an active Louisiana medical license.
• Graduating Family Medicine residents are welcome to apply.
• Appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.
