Front Desk Associate - Flatiron

About the role

Equinox is looking for energetic, creative and enthusiastic Front Desk Associates to join its team at the Flatiron location in New York. This is a part-time position in a growing, dynamic organization, open to candidates who want to make a significant impact. The role involves welcoming members and guests, handling memberships and providing a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally greet members and guests
• Scan membership IDs on entry
• Answer phones professionally and respond to member questions, concerns and discrepancies
• Update members' accounts when needed
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area
• Tour members and provide the highest level of customer service to members, prospective members and guests
• Aid other departments with related tasks
• Work opening, closing and mid-day shifts

Required profile

• Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic and friendly
• Preferably interested in health, fitness and/or sports
• Friendly, vibrant and outgoing
• Effective communication in person, by email and by phone
• Legal right to work in the United States

Physical requirements

• Standing for long periods, sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, reaching and bending
• Pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time
