Front Desk Agent – Hotel Front Office

About the role

The Courtyard By Marriott Ithaca Airport University is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join its Front Office team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome, smooth registration, and efficient check‑out while upholding the brand’s high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, complete the registration process, and issue electronic room keys.
• Handle check‑out procedures, including billing, payment processing, and reconciliation of charges.
• Provide accurate information on room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local attractions.
• Utilise up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximise occupancy.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, delivering timely and friendly resolutions.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, point‑of‑sale system, and cash handling procedures.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Front Desk Agent or in a high‑volume customer‑facing role.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate with colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and point‑of‑sale software.
• Accurate cash handling and credit/debit card processing.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.
