Food & Beverage Lead

About the role

The Food & Beverage Lead will oversee the F&B Attendant team during shifts at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, ensuring smooth service and an excellent guest experience. Reporting to the F&B Supervisor, this position blends leadership with hands‑on duties such as cashiering, food running, and bussing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the attendant team, assign stations, and set a guest‑focused tone.
• Act as the shift point of contact in the supervisor’s absence, making real‑time decisions.
• Conduct pre‑shift huddles to communicate menu updates, specials, and priorities.
• Train new team members on POS, cash handling, food running, and service standards.
• Perform all attendant duties, including greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and clearing tables.
• Oversee cash handling, verify register counts, and report discrepancies.
• Monitor service flow, coordinate with the kitchen, and handle special requests or dietary restrictions.
• Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly, escalating when necessary.
• Complete opening and closing checklists, maintain stock levels, and assist with inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service laws.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of food and beverage service experience.
• Previous lead, trainer, or shift‑lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication, sound judgment, and ability to resolve issues calmly.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including holidays.
• Current Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain) and preferably California RBS certification.
