Flight Line Mechanic – A220 (Contract)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Flight Line Mechanic to join its Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role focuses on performing functional test procedures, pre‑ and post‑flight inspections, and preparing built A220 aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute aircraft system Final Test Procedure (FTP), pre‑flight, post‑flight and daily inspections to ensure test‑flight readiness.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace aircraft structures, components and systems including landing gear, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, anti‑icing, engines, and cabin interiors.
• Operate and maintain a wide variety of test equipment and tooling, interpreting technical manuals, drawings and engineering data.
• Perform post‑dock maintenance, safety checks, incoming inspections, and both planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of aviation experience, preferably in manufacturing or repair environments.
• Valid A&P License.
• Experience with refuel/defuel operations, aircraft jacking, towing, hydraulic and engine oil services, and tire/strut servicing.
• Familiarity with hazardous material handling policies.

Required skills

• Aircraft system testing and functional test procedures.
• Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and electrical systems.
• Operation of specialized test equipment and interpretation of technical manuals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
