Flat Rate Automotive Technician

About the role

Ricart Automotive is seeking experienced Flat Rate Technicians to join a family‑owned shop with over 70 years of history. You will work in a clean, well‑equipped facility focused on precision repairs and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs and maintenance to Ricart and OEM standards, ensuring first‑time right work.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, document services, and test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Collaborate with the parts department for timely parts access and tag warranty parts for transparency.
• Stay current with manufacturer training, technical bulletins, and mentor apprentice technicians.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company motor vehicle report standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; manual transmission driving preferred but not required.
• Accountability for dealership‑owned tools and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Required skills

• Automotive repair and maintenance techniques.
• Diagnostic equipment usage and electronic system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CDK and MPI electronic inspection systems.
