Financial Analyst – Finance Rotation Program

About the role

The Finance Rotation Program at Compass Datacenters is an entry point for early‑career finance talent. Over a series of 6‑ to 12‑month rotations you will gain hands‑on experience across Operations Finance, FP&A, Capital Markets, Treasury, Capital Projects Finance and Supply Chain Finance while supporting data‑center development and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly forecasts, budgets, variance analysis and commentary for assigned cost centers, sites or projects.
• Support month‑end close activities, including accruals, re‑classifications and account reconciliations.
• Extract, clean and reconcile data from NetSuite, Procore and other systems, and build recurring reports and dashboards in Excel, Power BI and the company’s FP&A tool.
• Use approved AI tools to accelerate research, summarize contracts, extract data and draft first‑pass analysis, always verifying figures against source data.
• Track and forecast Opex and CapEx spend, short‑term cash flow, and support covenant calculations and lender reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related quantitative field completed by start date.
• 0‑2 years of full‑time professional experience in finance, accounting or a comparable analytical role.
• Fluent spoken and written English and legal work authorization for the United States or Canada.
• Ability to work full‑time onsite at the assigned location (Dallas, TX or Toronto, ON).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (multi‑tab analysis, lookups, pivot tables, conditional logic).
• Experience with NetSuite, Procore, Power BI or similar enterprise FP&A/EPM tools.
• Familiarity with AI assistants such as Claude or Copilot for analytical work.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or Python for data extraction and cleanup.
