Field Account Executive – Federal Government, New Business

About the role

The Field Account Executive – Federal Government, New Business will drive new customer acquisition across Federal agencies. This field‑based position requires regular in‑person meetings and a strategic approach to building a pipeline and closing deals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory strategy to acquire new Federal Government customers.
• Prospect, qualify, and build relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, and procurement professionals.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery to negotiation and close, including proposal development and pricing.
• Navigate complex Federal procurement processes and create competitive strategies to win business.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking in CRM tools.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as Solutions Consultants, Marketing, Product, and Sales leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven success in new‑business sales, business development, or consultative selling.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Residency within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
