Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer III

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to support aircraft structure development. The role involves performing routine to moderate level durability and damage tolerance analyses for metallic parts, collaborating closely with design and static stress teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderate level fatigue and damage tolerance analyses to verify structural integrity.
• Document analyses for trade studies, detail drawing sign‑out, and certification activities.
• Collaborate with Static Stress, Design and other departments to develop optimal structural solutions.
• Create technical documents and presentations with minimal direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or related engineering.
• Minimum six years of experience in static stress and/or fatigue & damage tolerance analysis of airframe structures.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to work onsite (approximately 90% on‑site) and meet physical job requirements.
