Family Learning & Communication Lead

About the role

The Family Learning & Communication Lead is a core contributor to Matter's Family Learning & Communication service line, working directly with client families and internal teams to shape multi‑year learning and communication strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings, communication training, multigenerational mission and vision planning, and family governance.
• Direct multi‑year family learning and communication work and develop long‑term learning plans for each family.
• Partner with client teams on strategic human‑capital plans and execute them using internal and external resources.
• Create, publish, and distribute content that builds trust, communication, and preparation skills for Matter families.
• Contribute to Matter's blog, newsletters, and the broader multi‑family office industry.

Required profile

• 5+ years working with multi‑generational families or executives on communication, culture, governance, family dynamics, or succession planning.
• Background in industrial psychology, coaching, family business consulting, meeting facilitation, or a similar discipline preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; MA, PhD, MSW, or MBA preferred.
