Faculty Position in Counseling (Rank TBD)

About the role

Nova Southeastern University seeks a qualified faculty member to join its Counseling program. The position involves teaching graduate courses, supervising practicum and internship experiences, and contributing to scholarly activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level classes in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
• Supervise students in practicum and internship field placements.
• Engage in research, publications, professional presentations, and grant writing.
• Participate in accreditation preparation and university program reviews.
• Provide advisement and mentorship to counseling students.
• Collaborate with department, college, and community partners.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education (or ABD) earned by hire date.
• Licensed or license‑eligible Mental Health Counselor in Florida.
• Experience teaching graduate coursework and providing clinical supervision.
• Professional counseling experience and a record of scholarly publications.
• Active involvement in relevant professional counseling organizations.

Required skills

• Familiarity with classroom management software such as Canvas, Watermark, and Zoom.
