External Store Manager in Training

About the role

Circle K is looking for an External Store Manager in Training for its Great Lakes BU, Region 01, Market 06, based at 3202 Earl L Core Rd, Morgantown, West Virginia. The position is full time and requires availability on weekdays and weekends. The role covers leadership, staff relations, site operations, customer service and financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees, and manage their schedules and performance appraisals
• Keep the site clean, stocked and organized according to company standards, and resolve customer complaints promptly
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and promote a safe, positive public image in the community
• Train staff on customer service, site image, marketing execution and safety procedures
• Hold regular communication meetings with site employees and the Market Manager
• Manage store files, manuals, employment posters and required reports
• Analyze daily sales and expenses, budget and forecast P&L lines, manage merchandise margins and safeguard cash

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Retail sales experience preferred
• Ability to supervise and train staff, and to use a computer for reports, inventory control, cash control and counseling notices
• Valid driver's license and adequate transportation to bank and corporate meetings
• Oral and written English communication
• Willingness to work mostly indoors but also outside (parking lot cleaning, gas pumps, garbage removal) and occasionally in cold temperatures in a walk-in cooler or freezer
