About the role

The Dundee Township Park District is seeking a visionary, collaborative leader to serve as its Executive Director, overseeing a thriving park and recreation agency that serves 64,000 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, organizational direction, financial stewardship, and operational oversight for the District.
• Direct all District operations in accordance with Board policies and directives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience as an Executive Director in a park district or recreation agency.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Parks and Recreation, Public Administration, or a related field.
• NRPA Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) and a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Excellent organizational abilities and high‑level performance capacity.
• Knowledge of fiscal procedures, budgetary planning, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer proficiency, and ability to work independently.
