EVP Chief Legal Officer

About the role

This executive leadership position is responsible for shaping the legal strategy of a fast‑growing technology company operating in a highly regulated environment. Based in the United States, the EVP Chief Legal Officer will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, Board of Directors, investors, and strategic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and oversee the company’s comprehensive legal strategy, covering commercial contracting, corporate governance, compliance, litigation, and risk management.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including SaaS, licensing, data‑processing, and vendor agreements.
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to structure agreements that enable growth while mitigating risk.
• Develop scalable contracting frameworks, templates, and approval processes.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and the Board on regulatory, fiduciary, and material legal matters.
• Oversee relationships with external counsel, budgeting, and coordination of specialized legal services.
• Lead litigation strategy, employment matters, investigations, and dispute resolution.
• Guide corporate governance, entity management, intellectual property strategy, and enterprise risk programs.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing legal team, fostering a proactive partnership culture.

Required profile

• Seasoned legal executive with extensive experience supporting technology‑driven businesses.
• Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements and advising senior leadership.
• Strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and ability to navigate regulated industries.
• Experience in building scalable legal processes and leading high‑performing teams.
