About the role

Barclays is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its Equity Research team covering Aerospace, Defense and Defense Technology. You will work closely with senior analysts to produce research reports, monitor market trends and communicate insights to institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse market, sector and company data to develop investment theses and produce research notes, sector updates and thematic reports.
  • Present research views to clients through face‑to‑face meetings, virtual calls, events and written communications.
  • Collaborate with compliance, supervisory analysts and other stakeholders to ensure research is delivered in a compliant manner.

Required profile

  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense, Technology or Industrials sectors.
  • Proficiency in detailed company valuation and financial modelling.
  • FINRA licensing (SIE, S63, S86, S87) and CFA designation or progress toward it.

Required skills

  • Advanced Excel for financial analysis.
  • Bloomberg and other financial data platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for client interaction.
