Equity Research Airlines & Transportation AVP

About the role

Join Barclays as an Equity Research Airlines and Transportation AVP, collaborating with senior analysts to produce comprehensive research reports, monitor market trends, and deliver strategic recommendations to institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market, sector, corporate and economic data to develop investment theses and produce best‑in‑class research.
• Present research views to Barclays clients through face‑to‑face, virtual interactions, events and written communications.
• Engage with internal stakeholders such as Markets, Client Strategy and Compliance to ensure research is delivered in a compliant manner.
• Lead projects, mentor junior analysts and contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct detailed company analysis and valuation.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and interpreting detailed financial statements.
• Relevant experience in Industrials, particularly airlines and transportation.
• FINRA licensing (SIE, S63, S86, S87) and CFA designation or progress towards it.
