About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Equipment Logistics Technician to support patient transport and equipment movement across the Jeff Hwy campus. The role involves safely moving patients, delivering records, and maintaining departmental equipment while providing compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport newly admitted patients to their rooms promptly using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
  • Deliver clinic records, admission forms, and charge cards to nursing units and ancillary departments.
  • Locate, maintain, and move equipment used within the department.
  • Transport patients to and from ancillary departments and discharge patients with their belongings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and infection‑control policies while performing duties.

Required profile

  • No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic computer proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
