Epic Analyst 2 – Central (Healthcare IT)

About the role

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department seeks a full‑time Epic Analyst 2 to support and enhance Epic HB applications for hospital billing workflows. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, provide day‑to‑day support, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a support contact for end‑users, identify and resolve application issues.
• Configure, build, and maintain Epic HB applications, supporting billing workflows.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain application configurations and documentation.
• Lead system testing, validation, and go‑live support, including upgrade cycles.
• Collaborate with revenue‑cycle teams to optimize workflows and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide after‑hours support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital billing administration experience with Epic HB certification.
• Experience in multi‑hospital or integrated delivery network environments.
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations, payer requirements, and billing compliance.

Required skills

• Epic HB (certified) and familiarity with Epic tools such as Chronicles, Clarity, Charge Router, Contracts, WQ, DNB, Reporting Workbench.
• Experience with Epic upgrade cycles, testing, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
