BI Report Developer

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a BI Report Developer to design, develop, and tune dashboards and reports that meet business requirements. You will collaborate with ETL developers, application analysts, and end‑users to ensure data accuracy, security, and usability across the health system.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Reporting tools.
• Work with ETL developers to define report design strategies and with analysts to understand source data systems.
• Maintain security setup, tool administration, and data modeling for reporting solutions.
• Create documentation and training materials for applications and reports.
• Test, review, and evaluate reports and analytical tools before production deployment.
• Provide post‑implementation support, fine‑tune processes, and assist users with queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL Reporting proficiency (Microsoft SQL Server).
• Power BI, Tableau or comparable BI tools.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• EPIC Cogito, EPIC Clarity, and EPIC Access data model knowledge.
