Entry-Level Physical Therapist – Inpatient/Outpatient

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking new‑graduate physical therapists to evaluate patients and deliver inpatient therapy programs based on physician orders. The role involves close collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients transition to the appropriate post‑acute or home care setting and achieve their individualized goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment programs aligned with physician orders.
• Assess patient response, modify treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with documentation standards.
• Adapt communication and care approach to diverse patient populations while supporting hospital quality and safety targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior work experience required – new graduates are welcome.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
